Well hello there! We’re Owen and Elee and we recently sold everything we own to build a life of adventure, excitement and freedom through travel.
Both born and raised on opposite ends of the UK (Owen in Ilkeston & Elee (me) in Essex), we became friends at the beginning of 2021 whilst working at the same marketing agency in Nottingham. Owen is a Web Developer and I work in Marketing.
We hadn’t actually met in person but were in the same team at work, therefore, working on the same client accounts. Half the time in our team meetings, we would be sending each other funny GIFs on slack to get through the painful group calls where everyone would sit in silence. It worked.
After a lot of months spent playing PS4 together, a shared interest in John Mayer and endless tagging each other in memes (that caught the attention of all our mates), we spoke about our shared dreams of travelling. And well, low and behold, here we are now living them together.
We also, both love Motorbikes. Before we started our travelling venture, I passed my CBT & Owen, his FULL bike test! It’s made the dream of travelling even more exciting because it means that Owen can get any size bike and I’m more than happy getting another 125cc or riding on the back of his motorbike. Riding a bike is a feeling unlike anything else, and we’re very well aware future trips we have planned will push us to our limits, so thankfully we had a good few ventures to Matlock and Bakewell under our belt to get that riding confidence up. (Me more so than Owen)
We decided to start capturing our journey because, well…firstly we’re both hilarious, but we also have every intention of living in this way for the foreseeable and want to show you that it can be done. There is an abundance of opportunities out there and we really want to show people that there is more to life than following the social norms. You CAN create the life you want. And we genuinely hope our blog & YouTube videos inspire you and make you feel excited about travel and life.
